Journalist Intern

PENNEP is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Journalist Intern to join our client’s dynamic team. This position requires a creative and detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to journalistic principles. The successful candidate will work closely with our editorial team, contributing to the creation of compelling and impactful News Articles and Content.

• Demonstrated interest in journalism, with a strong passion for unbiased storytelling.
• Conduct in-depth research to gather information on assigned topics.
• Investigate news stories to ensure accuracy and provide comprehensive coverage.
• Write, edit, and produce high-quality news articles, features, and reports.
• Craft compelling and well-researched narratives that resonate with our audience.
• Conduct interviews with key stakeholders, experts, and individuals relevant to the story.
• Extract meaningful insights and quotes to enhance the depth of reporting.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and develop story ideas.
• Stay informed about current events and industry trends to identify relevant story angles.
• Follow and maintain journalistic standards, ethics, and guidelines.
• Ensure all content meets the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
• Work with multimedia teams to incorporate visuals, graphics, and other elements into stories.
• Collaborate on multimedia projects to enhance storytelling across platforms.

• Strong writing and editing skills, with an emphasis on clarity and storytelling.
• Excellent research and investigative abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with digital media platforms and social media.
• Knowledge of AP style and other journalistic standards.

• Any experience in journalism, writing, or related fields, even if not formally published.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and an interest in exploring their role in journalism.
• Basic understanding of storytelling techniques.

Pursuing a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
